GENERAL NOTES

COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES
----------------------------------
The original variable indicating the occupation (croccup_6d) is not reported for those who are arranging to take up paid/self-employment activity, waiting for the start date of an agreed work or having unpaid leave for more than one year. Those were recoded employed but temporary unpaid (MAS_D=130), and all their main job characteristics were recoded "not stated" since they did not effectively start working.

As stated in the methodology provided with the dataset from CAPMAS, the occupation variable's codes were recoded based on the occupational classification index issued in July 2005 which is consistent with the International Standard Classification of Occupations for 1988 (ISCO-88).
