GENERAL NOTES

For persons presently attending school (PATSCH=1), value missing for others.
For secondary school, if not specified in the questionnaire, it is assumed that it is an academic secondary school.
For the surveys where is no distinction between university and post university they are considered as university
As with PEDUC, we recommend that PENROL be restructured as a categorical variable appropriate to the analysis.

COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES
----------------------------------
Those currently enrolled in one of the Tunisian Agency for Employment programs for the professional life preparation or continued formation were coded other in PENROL.
They can originally be graduate of secondary, post secondary or higher education.

The primary stage was eliminated from the new Tunisian education system. The current system starts at the basic education level, equivalent to the lower secondary level in other countries, and consisting of 9 years. Therefore, all students attending the basic education were coded 2 "lower secondary".
